Holiday Give Back
The Foundation's Holiday Give Back Program helps make the holiday season brighter for local families facing financial hardship. Each year, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and educators identify families in need, and the Foundation provides gift cards to help with holiday meals, gifts, and other seasonal essentials. Since 2019, the program has brought comfort and joy to countless families throughout our community. Beyond the holidays, the Foundation remains committed to providing assistance year-round to help meet special and unexpected needs whenever they arise.
Law Enforcement Support
The Foundation is committed to strengthening local law enforcement by providing resources that enhance their ability to protect and serve our community. We help fund specialized training and conferences on critical topics, including drug trafficking and resources for first responders ensuring officers have access to the latest knowledge and best practices. The Foundation also provides essential equipment, such as uniforms and boots, to law enforcement personnel and Cadet participants, helping them serve safely and professionally. In addition, we connect first responders with valuable state and national programs and benefits, ensuring they are aware of the resources available to support their health, well-being, professional development, and long-term success.
Community Projects
Our Foundation partners with local organizations and schools, such as the Student Council at SLJHS, to support meaningful community projects. Whether it’s helping refurbish spaces, sponsoring local events, or stepping in to provide for those who need it, we are always eager to contribute to projects that benefit our community.
The Darrin Reed Memorial First Responders Education Award was established to support the next generation of local first responders as they pursue careers locally at NPC. By helping cover tuition and other educational expenses, the program reduces financial barriers for students committed to serving our communities. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded eight education assistance grants totaling $12,000, investing in the future of those who will protect and serve the White Mountains.
Clothing for Schools
The Foundation is committed to ensuring students have the essentials they need to learn with confidence. Through our School Clothing Assistance Program, we provide clothing to White Mountains area schools for their nurses' offices, giving school staff immediate access to clean, comfortable clothing when students experience unexpected accidents, emergencies, or other situations during the school day. By meeting these basic needs with dignity and compassion, we help students remain in class, reduce unnecessary stress, and ensure they can focus on learning when they need it most.
